This page describes the intended privacy practices for Simply Made Meals. It will be reviewed and updated with final company, processor, and contact details before public accounts open.

Information we collect

When accounts open, we expect to collect account details such as email address, password hash, display name, login/security records, and accepted terms. Product data can include selected ingredients, saved recipes, shopping lists, unit preferences, dietary preferences, allergens or exclusions, and support messages you choose to send.

We also collect limited technical information needed to secure and operate the service, such as session identifiers, request identifiers, timestamps, coarse device/browser descriptions, failure categories, and usage counts. We do not need your precise location, contacts, microphone, camera, or advertising identifier.

How we use information

Sensitive preferences

Dietary restrictions, allergens, and nutrition targets can reveal sensitive information. We use them to provide the features you request. We do not sell them, use them for advertising, or include them in general analytics events. Simply Made Meals provides general informational estimates, not medical advice.

Service providers

We use trusted service providers to host the application, store data, deliver requested meal features, process payments, and handle email and support. They receive only the information reasonably needed to provide their service and must handle it under appropriate privacy and security obligations. A current subprocessor list will be available before launch.

Email and support

Email addresses, delivery information, and the messages you send are processed as needed to deliver account communications and respond to support requests. We do not use private support conversations for advertising.

Storage and security

Application data and meal imagery are stored with reputable cloud infrastructure providers. We use safeguards such as encryption, access controls, multi-factor administrator access, security records, and tested backups. No service can promise perfect security, but we work to limit access and protect the information entrusted to us.

Sharing

Recipes are private unless you intentionally create a public share link. A shared page includes the recipe and only the optional attribution you enable. Private notes and profile data are excluded. You can disable a share link.

Retention and deletion

Account and recipe data are kept while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Temporary files are removed when they are no longer needed. When you request deletion, we remove or de-identify eligible information within the stated timeframe, subject to limited legal, security, and backup retention.

Your choices

The planned account tools let you review profile data, revoke sessions and shares, export information, change email preferences that are not required for service, and request deletion. Transactional messages needed for security or an active request are separate from marketing consent.

Children

Simply Made Meals is intended for adults and is not designed to collect information from children. A final age threshold and regional requirements will be confirmed before launch.

Changes

Material policy changes will be dated and communicated through the application or email when appropriate. Prior versions will be retained where practical.
